Our awards and recognition programs raise awareness of the role America's restaurant industry plays in improving the quality of life for all we serve.

Faces of Diversity

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and PepsiCo Foodservice offer the Faces of Diversity Awards to honor individuals in the restaurant industry who have realized the American Dream through hard work, determination and enterprise. Each year, three national winners are selected to receive this prestigious award. Winners are flown to Washington, D.C. where they are honored at a spring Gala Awards Dinner. A $2,500 scholarship is also made in the name of each winner to an aspiring student of the foodservice and hospitality industry. Applications and nominations are accepted each fall. Restaurant Neighbor Award

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and American Express offer the Restaurant Neighbor Awards to honor restaurants for outstanding community service. Ninety percent of restaurants are actively involved in community activities. This award highlights the positive contributions restaurants make in their local neighborhoods each and every day. Each year, four national winners receive $5,000 each to continue their charitable works.

Thad and Alice Eure Ambassador of Hospitality

The Ambassador of Hospitality Award, sponsored by Ecolab, is the premiere award bestowed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to an individual who has exemplified extraordinary achievement and leadership in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Kitchen Innovations

For over a decade, the restaurant industry has trusted the Kitchen Innovations Awards to recognize products that meaningfully improve the back of the house. The selected innovations are on display at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago each May. Award-winners address operator concerns from labor, energy and water efficiency to food safety, sanitation, cross-functionality and space-saving.
